"One day last fall I found a young man on a 4 wheeler in my backyard. I mentioned that I used to have an emu. He told me about a place in a his hometown called Dragonfly Emu Farm. He said the lady who runs it is amazing. I agree. Carrie is so helpful and willing to work with you. I live in Colorado and drove down to pick up the babies. A death in the family meant leaving the new babies with a sitter. Carrie was willing to answer any questions she had. (My ranch sitter kept the babies in her living room because of a snow storm.)
Roxanne and Cyrano de Birdgerac have learned their names. They come when they are called. They have clearly been lovingly cared for all of their lives. They are incredibly healthy and adapted quickly to their new home and all of the other animals they're sharing space with.
